ondemand powersettings at boot

How can I get ondemand to be enabled every time my laptop boots up? By default, it does userspace and the kernel will only allow userspace or performance as defaults. I know how to change it after it boots up but I'm wondering how can I get it to do it automatically every time i boot up?

Can you put the commands in rc.local?
