Wink Older Slackware (7.1)-compatible apps/utils?

Mornin' fellow penguins,

I've got a lil tablet (a Progear) running Slackware 7.1, came from the factory with its own proprietary wm which I've replaced with an older version of IceWM (0.9.4-9 or somesuch) which plays nicely with the older Slack. At this point I'm not interested in putting in a bigger HD (it came with a little laptop-sized 5.0G drive) so I can soup it up to a new release of Slack or anything else -- what I want to know is, what File Manager and color-coded text editing utils would you recommend that will play nice with this older version of Slack?

I also plopped RPM on there so I can check the dependencies. So far it's doing nicely with packages released for RedHat 6.2 (i386 arch). (I'd tried some RH 7.x packages before but that hosed the drive and I had to reghost it so we are not going there again). So if you know of file managers & text editors built to play nice with RH 6.2 that would work as well. URLs to d/l the .rpms much appreciated also.

Thanks in advance guys!

OK ... since none of these experts had any advice I will post a follow up. I ended up going with Bluefish for a color-coded text editor and TkDesk for a file manager.

Now if I could get a little help configuring Fetchmail and Pine to play nice ... but that's not apropos to this forum so I'll hunt that down elsewhere. ;-)
