official slack packages not on cd
 
Yesterday I put in slackware 11 from CDs. Two weeks or so ago I had put on 10.0. I'm still new to slackware so this next question is going to seem very stupid to you all. For slack 11, are there any official packages for slackware 11 that are not on CDs (and thus only on the various mirrors)

No, all the official Slackware packages are on the official CD's and on the DVD.
There is also stuff (otehr than packages: like, the Slackware Book, and alternative installers) on the CD's and the DVD that's not on the mirrors.

Wow. I'm so used to distros where most of the packages are only online (Not on the install disk(s)). This is a nice change! This will make things easier for me. Thanks for the info! Praise Bob! :D

You can get some packages like Open Office on-line if you wish. linuxpackages.net does not have the 11.0 version yet. I'm sure OO for 11.0 will be released soon.
