Odd problem with xorg radeon drivers on Slackware current
 
At the moment I am running an up to date slackware-current. Since either the last update to xorg-server (xorg-server-1.4-i486-4.tgz) or the ati drivers(xf86-video-ati-6.7.196-i486-1.tgz), The ati drivers have not worked properly. I updated both at the same time, and forgot to keep the old versions so I can't say for sure which update caused the problem.

When I start X with ati drivers, the display has an odd, shimmering corruption in the middle. It is hard to describe but rather alarming. I immediately close X on seeing this.

X works fine with the vesa drivers and appears to work the latest fglrx drivers (too early to tell if any nasty problems are waiting).

I am using a Radeon 9600XT if that matters.

Here is the Xorg.0.log (for some reason it says it is a binary file when you click the link but thats what happens when you use free hosting that forces you to change file names and probably mangles them)
