I'm deciding to upgrade my current video card, it is an EVGA e-GeForce 6600GT ~ 128 Mb GDDR3 (500MHz core, 1GHz memory) and buy one of these babes, especifically an
EVGA e-GeForce 7950 GX2.
I wonder if someone has such or similar card and could advice me of anything to be concerned about... support, performance, throughput, power consumption, etc on Slackware 10.2 with the most nvidia current drivers.
My main concern is power consumption, as my power supply is of 450 watts and thats the 'recommended' spec for this card, I don't want to get it overloaded or something.
And of course, if that card works as good as it should on Slackware.
Any happy, slackware-ish owners?
Any advice from anyone is welcomed of course. Thanks in advance.
