You have to mount it to access it and make sure you unmount it before removing it from the drive or any data you write to it wont be written. Also you can only mount it as root change /etc/fstab to be able to mount/unmount with user
There is something wroung with my fluxbox it has heaps of error messages, and nothing much works how do i uninstall it and install my new 0.9 version? The insturctions to install fluxbox cd ./confige make make install dont seem to work i cd wich folder or file ive tyed them all and ./configure doesnt work it isnt a command it says, can someone give me better insturcations? Thanks
OK download the source package if its a .tar.gz file use
tar xvzf fluxbox-0.9.9.tar.gz
if its a .tar.bz2 file use
tar xvjf fluxbox-0.9.9.tar.bz2
then go into the directory that it created and type
./configure
make
su
<root password>
make install
To uninstall the stock slackware fluxbox package check /var/log/packages/ for the fluxbox version then su to root and type
uninstallpkg <packagename>
swaret will get you .98 fluxbox and I don't know of anything .99 has that it doesn't.. so it's a bit easier as you can just use swaret --upgrade fluxbox after calling swaret --update.
