non building packages from sources in Slackware-current

While I was trying to build the entire Slackware from sources, I reviewed every package (except the KDE serie, I don't use it, I prefer xfce), I noticed that some packages don't build properly, they fail before the end.

In the enclosed pdf document, I suggest a solution for each "non building package". There's absolutely no totally broken packages, each one has a solution, even the oldest ones.

x11 would be another subject.

To be honest, I read the PDF documents at 90 grades when I'm seriously hammered. Last time was about 27 years ago. How about to show us the document in a more orthodox style?

Thanks nobodino. I have come across a few of these myself.

Try zathura, all you will need to do is press r for the pdf to rotate.

did you use current?
libvncserver is 0.9.9 in 14.1 and 0.9.10 in current, so it seems someone has been building it

I used everything current, but libvncserser coudln't be built? I couldn't solve the problem so I used a version able to be built.
I doesn't built in the environment I built, nor in slackware-current: same message
---------------------
/usr/include/va/va.h:853:1: note: declared here
vaCreateSurfaces(

Found the solution: vaCreateSurfaces belong to libva-1.5.1-i486-1 (in /usr/include/va/va.h) and there's also a vaCreateSurfaces used by libvncserver (in /LibVNCServer-0.9.10/libvncclient/rfbproto.c and h264.c).

The solution is : removepkg libva-1.5.1-i486-1
Build the packages libvncserver-0.9.10 and re-install libva-1.5.1-i486-1

That's all.
