no sound


hello all,
i am not able to recieve any sound in my slackware 11 system with huge26.s as the kernel

here is the

have you downloaded and installed the alsa drivers ?

looks like you haven't installed the kernel-modules package

how do i install the kernel module packages

insert the second installation CD

mount your CDROM

go into extra/linux-2.6.17.13/ directory on the CD.

run the following command as root:

installpkg kernel-modules-2.6.17.13-i486-1.tgz

reboot

hey thanks
with the help of a friend of mine
i could install the appropriate modules and now i have the alsa working fine.
i got my sound working
