No Program Uninstall Option
Bear with me here,
But I have a silly question.. I am on my first day with KDE as well as slackware. I cannot find the option to delete/uninstall a program nor can I find a program manager. I am trying to use the GUI as much as possible right now because I need to print out my terminal manual later.. So any help on that? And while I am at it, since I am new to the filesysytem, anyone know where all program files are kept? Sorry for the newbness. I'm going to the doctor Thursday :) |
installpkg, removepkg, and upgradepkg are your best friends when it comes to package (software) management (install/uninstall/upgrade). Check out the man pages for more info. Also have a look at sbopkg for GUI packages management.
You can find a list of installed packages in /var/log/packages |
Judging from those questions, you'd better have a Linux command line tutorial or guide at hand, and you should also read the Slackware Book if you're going to use Slackware.

The book may contain a bit of dated information. But most of it should be a good source.
