No keyboard during install of Slackware current on Aspire 5755

Slackware Current - 17 July
Hardware - Acer Aspire 5755
Boot Medium - USB
USB Hardware - Transcend JetFlash 360, USB 3.0

I used dd to copy the usb boot image file from ISO's usb-pxe installers folder, and i am able to boot through the USB stick, however im stuck at

boot:

there, it says to press enter, but my it just doesn't take an input, i even tried using a USB keyboard, but still no help..

Can anyone please help me out on this please?

At the that point in the install, the system is running syslinux. There's no kernel running, and I/O depends on BIOS handling things correctly. I'd suggest looking in the BIOS settings to see if there's anything having to do with the keyboard, "legacy support" or something like that. Change the setting and try again.

I say make sure you imaged it properly to the USB stick or try another method of install.

I have the same issue hear on toshiba satellite l755-154 laptop.
USB - Transcend JetFlash 16GB, USB 3.0

usbboot.img from slackware64-13.37 functions perfectly, so I don't think it's a BIOS' problem.

There is a long timeout in the installer after which it will boot the default kernel

in /isolinux/isolinux.cfg

prompt 1
timeout 1200

either wait or reduce this timeout, maybe even remove these two lines completely and recreate your cd/dvd

Edit: ignore sorry - you are using usb_boot: how do I delete this?

I just want to make sure that it actually is the keyboard and not a hang during install. If you wait at the boot: it should boot automatically after a short time.
