No Internet/Network

I am unable to get an IP address from a DHCP server in Slackware 9.1. I run netconfig: Enter my hostname, domain, select DHCP, and no DHCP hostname. Ever since I installed Slack I get this error on boot (repeatedly): insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/drivers/char/i810_rng.o.gz: insmod i810_rng failed
dhcpcd[137]: timed out waiting for a valid DHCP server response

i have two NICs, one onboard and another PCI 3COM, neither is brought up on boot. When I bring up eth1 (the one the cable is plugged into) it doesn't get an IP. I couldn't find a network util in KDE or GNOME. Any insight would be much appreciated while I continue to work on this problem.

check it out.
1. The i810_rng.o.gz is for the random number generator. To fix do this:
cd /etc/hotplug
pico blacklist
scroll down until you find i810-tco underneath it put i810_rng

2. Are you sure you are on a dhcp network?

3. run scanpci and lspci and post there outputs here

4. Also run lsmod and post the output

Also check out /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf and make sure the values are correct

Thanks, the problem was in my rc.inet1.conf file. When I ran the netconfig util it would only setup my eth0, which wasn't the NIC I was using. I had to manually config my second NIC. The documentation also referenced the rc.inet1.conf, I should have read that more carefully. Sorry about that.
