No HDMI Sound on AV Receiver

Hello,

I'm pretty new to Slackware even if it was the first linux distribution i tried for my home router when I was younger

I'm working on Thinkpad X1 Nano (tigerlake) with Slackware15-64

I had installed sof-firmware and until now I didn't encounter any problem using speakers, mics and bluetooth audio devices.

Last week, i tried to connect my computer on my AVR using the aux INPUT but there was no sound.

Today i tried to connect the laptop on a HDMI Screen with sound support, and it worked.

In audio volume menu, i only see "Speacker". I can see that when i move the mouse over the sound icon in taskbar, it says : HDMI /DisplayPort 1 Output. And if i play a sound when the laptop is connected to the AVR, i have no sound at all. This one was solved by changing the playback output in pavucontrol

As I'm not a slackware advanced user, I would like to request your help on this. I'm confused because I can see in my demsg error related to snd_hda_codec_realtek (and I don't have a realtek card right ? ) I'm not really sure if I indeed use the right driver too.
I have replaced pulse by pipewire the day after I installed this new Slackware 15 using this : https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...80/page13.html

Looking around the web, I saw that some command outputs may help. Thanks for your help !

ok thanks for this information.
i didn't have a spare hdmi wire until this morning and it works with the second one... I didn't think about faulty wire because sound worked well on my external monitor.
