No DBUS session-bus found

SInce I upgraded to 13.1 I get the above error with lots of programs. I check the D-BUS with /etc/rc.d/rc.messagebus status and it says the D-BUS daemon is running. What should I check next?? I'm kinda stumped on this one.

Answering my own question:

I found that /etc/rc.d/rc.hald wasn't starting on bootup. Once starting it manually the apps started working.

Now all I gotta do is figure out why hald wasn't starting. (:

Thanks anyway.
