no bookmarks in konqueror after a power outage

I am running Slackware 12.2
After a power outage, when I booted back, in turned out that all konqueror bookmarks have gone away. Besides, cannot add the mozilla bookmarks as konqueror crashes whenever I try to do so. Moreover I cannot add any bookmarks with the "add bookmark" - it simply does not work.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Konqueror stores it's bookmarks in ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml . You could try looking at that for problems. Alternatively in konqueror you could try going to Bookmarks->Edit Bookmarks->File->Import->Import All Crash Sessions as Bookmarks... and see what happens.

Note I have not tried this out - I just found it while investigating konqueror's bookmarks so it may not work. Something on thoses menus may help though.
