nm-applet not working for me

XFCE
Slackware 64 Current
It was working a week ago but not now.

I finally tried the command line and this is my result.

Code:
nm-applet: error while loading shared libraries: libffi.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Thanks for that Willy.
To the best of my power my system is caught up to the latest updates and the mn-applet icon is missing from my XFCE Panel and without it I cannot easily reconnect to my wifi (the joys of rural living)

Simply having root copy libffi.so.6.0.4 into /usr solves the problem and restores the applet to the XFCE tray.

I can wait and see what happens but I need that applet frequently

Looks like the network-manager-applet needs a rebuild against the new libffi.

I updated all files in those three directories just to make sure and VOILA, all is good now. The applet works again. Not sure what caused this mess but it works now
