Nightingale Issue

I have nightingale installed. I go to build a library and while it's importing my music it crashes, just quits, no log that I can find ect. Any ideas on how I can give you more info.?

Hi Quicken2k, You could start with some of the basics, what versions are using, Slackware, Nightingale, etc.? How did you install it, slackbuild, compiled from scratch, etc.? Have you tried starting it from a console and leaving that open to see and capture any messages or errors you get?

Good luck. ;-)

Build it using a Slackbuild from sbopkg program. Also it refuses to play some of my mp3s. My mp3s are on an NTFS drive.

I can also see some of my library that I imported. Hope this helps abit

hi Quicken2k,

are you using slackware64-14.1 or slackware64-current?

I'm asking this because SBo's slackbuilds are tested only on the stable version of Slackware (14.1).

If you're using 14.1, try also contacting the maintainer of the SlackBuild, you can find his address here

As it says above I use current. I will try to contact him, I also asked on Nightingales forum. Hopefully I can fix it, this is my favorite player.

The problem was a TAGLIB issue with the source. The GNOME/UNITY version works fine on Slackware and the slackbuild will point to that version as the author has changed it so it works now in short.
