nfsroot with Slackware 14.2
I'm trying to mount a Slackware 14.2 install (32-bit) nfsroot. I got it mostly working, however there is one small problem. I cannot mount /proc.
When I try I get the error:
# mount -t proc proc /proc
mount: only root can use "--types" option (effective UID is 65534)
My kernel command-line is:
root=/dev/nfs ip=dhcp nfsroot=172.17.0.80:/nfsroot,v3 rw
I have tried all kinds of combinations of /etc/exports on the server, anongid=0, anonuid=0, all_squash, no_root_squash and so on but nothing seems to work. Reading and writing are all working fine on the nfsroot, it is just the /proc which can't be mounted and that is a bit too useful to manage without.
This was all working with kernel 3.3 a few years ago so I assume this is something introduced in later kernels, or something to do with my config?
Thanks for any help!
Biff.
