Newsbeuter 2.7 solved crashes

TWM on Slackware-current

2.6 was becoming almost unusable crashing pretty much every time I used it....usually on opening a URL. 2.7 hasn't crashed once so far, seems to be working really well.

It was just a case of downloading the Slackbuild from:
http://slackbuilds.org/repository/14...newsbeuter/2.7

and the source from:
from http://www.newsbeuter.org/download.html

Change the version number to 2.7 in newsbeuter.Slackbuild and that's it.

Not sure if there's an upgrade pending for 14.1 but certainly worth considering.

I missed the release announcement (was subscribed to the old Newsbeuter feed), so thanks for pointing this out. I will update the SlackBuild for 14.1.
