Just to say hi to everyone here on the Slackware forum have just successfully installed slack 13.1 on my aspire one netbook so theres a mighty good chance I will be needing help before too long!
Welcome to a great distribution for those willing to put forth the effort to learn to tune it. This effort results in a very stable os and a lot of knowledge of unix/linux systems thrown in to boot! It's not as hard as a lot of folks would say but will require a bit more learning than say an Ubuntu setup.
Me I just use Slackware and have gained the knowledge to make it work on my setup but there is a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum to help you on your journey.
