New kernel installed, bootup screen changed?

Hey there,

I just installed 2.6.16.13 but I've been noticing that when it runs through the whole bootup process, the screen is very small and all the info scrolls by very fast. When I first installed Slack (2.4.26 stock from 10.2) it gave me the option of having the larger screen which included Tux at the top. Is there a way to get it back to this type of screen at bootup? This is purely aesthetic but it was something I found kind of nice, any help would be great, thanks.

Andrew

You need to add a "vga=<some value>" as a parameter to your new kernel. /etc/lilo.conf should contain a list of possible values.

And, of course, framebuffer support needs to be compiled into the kernel.
