That was the problem. Switched mirrors and now downloading the new files.
Never had problems with kernel org before.

The new kernel in Current is working great so far!
Code:
bash-4.4$ uname -mrs

Stellar job, not a single hiccup! With 4.19 LTS and 'pure-alsa-system', along with countless other improvements, Slackware 15 might be the best one yet!

I still can't decide between running the next 15 -stable, or continuing with -current. Given the -current quality, I might just end up running that indefinitely and reinstalling every few years just to clear out some possible cruft (on my end, of course).

I have the same dilemma! I still can not decide between running the next 15 -stable, or continuing with -current.

I will do both. I will have a combination of 15.0 work stations, and -current. I enjoy tracking -current. Smooth as silk upgrade to 4.19.0 LTS.
