new 12.1 - no pipe key - change 20 times keyboard. how do I edit it to have it again?

Hey,

I have a 12.1 new install.

I selected the same keyboard from the old one, same language... But I haven't the pipe anymore... The key near the left shiFt should "¦", BUT IT IS NOT.

Of course that makes things almost impossible... I have a Microsoft Natural Keyboard, Brazilian abtn2 , and I have br as first and en as second.

I tried a lot of different combinations of keyboards and languages.

I think that it won't work... so I'd like to know how do I edit the map, so I can fix that.

Is this occurring just in X or in X and in the console (in runlevel 3)?

Since I live in Brazil, I think your keyboard has the same problem mine had

Create a file called '/etc/X11/xinit/.Xmodmap' with this line:
Code:
keycode 94 = backslash bar
This works in X at least (after restarting X)
