NetworkManager enabled but no internet connection at startup

Hi,

I run Slackware x86_64 current with KDE5. (wired connection)

I'd like to understand why my internet connection don't start automatically while NetworkManager is active ?

I have to activate the wired interface manually to get the internet connection !

Any ideas ?

thanks

I have not encountered this. Generally, with every distro I've used, if there is a wired connection present, the system connects automatically on boot.

I don't even know what questions to ask, but perhaps this article will help get you started: http://docs.slackware.com/slackbook:network

Well, I do know one question to ask which might get the ball rolling:

What is the output of ifconfig -a before and after connecting? Perhaps that will give us some hints. Be sure to surround it with "Code" tags which become available when you click the "Go Advanced" button at the bottom of the "compose post" window.
