collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[4]: *** [test-settings-defaults] Error 1

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

Is there a dependency I missed ?

To install NetworkManager, you'll need libgnome-keyring (this is not gnome-keyring!). Robby Workman has some pre-built packages that works just fine: http://connie.slackware.com/~rworkma...xtra/packages/

I just installed NetworkManager on my Thinkpad yesterday, and it worked flawlessly. I basically followed what www.slackbuilds.org states, and installed all the 'required' apps. Btw, I am using 13.1-32bit.

Strange. I could only compile NetworkManager after compiling libgnome-keyring. After that, I compiled nm-applet, and now everything runs fine in here.
