Okay this is a strange problem.

I can use the console to access the internet and network features, but after starting up X11 and KDE loads up, the Network suddenly just quits working totally.

I have an ASIX USB300 Network adapter and I'm currently using the WICD tool to manage my network.

The strange thing is, when I attempt to use the KDE Network Configuration Tool, it says it can not parse an XML file and my network connections are not available to the system. I can use WICD to create a static connection but it will not optain an IP address like the asix module isn't loaded or the network adapter isn't available.

Any help would be appreciated.
