Can I upgrade from 9.0 to 10.2 via the Internet?
I am in South Africa, my server is in the USofA at linode.com and it is running slackware 9.0 and I would like to get to Current without having to upload my 10.2 CD.
Therefore could I upgrade, via upgradepkg, directly from Slackware's site ?

swaret will allow you to upgrade to whatever version you would like (I personally use Current), but be careful as upgrading remotely could be dangerous. Nothing like SSHd not wanting to start and you're half way across the globe...

Sorry, let me reword that. What mirror local to linode do you use. I suspect that using one of the European mirrors is not a great idea.

Any will work
Install Swaret, edit /etc/swaret.conf for your tastes, then 'swaret --update' and 'swaret --upgrade'
