Network analyzer
 
Hallo !! dudes :) Whats up ?? :D Hmm.... i m dead caus i read al time for school :( Anyway !!! just a little patience .. :) So.. I have a LQ :)

Is there any tool / program that can i setup and run in slackware and analyze my network ? To give me info on what use the internet connection , up/down packets and other... Do you have any tool like this in mind ?? THANX!!

well a "network analyzer" means so so many different things it's unreal. maybe you want wireshark? maybe ntop? maybe iptraf? maybe just a standard system tray network monitor widget?

They all can be used to get some info about network connections.

I don't want a sniffer like wireshark . Anyway .. i'll try the other ones that you say!!! Thanx btw..

I usually set up a bridge and place it between my network and router. I then run ntop on it.
