Don't worry. I like more of eclipse, but I have to use netbeans in university so I'm looking for a slackbuild.

I know the Slackbuild says "Also note that this is not available for x86_64." but I didn't notice this at first and built it on my Slackware64 system - possibly not a good idea as the ARCH is set in the build to i586 rather than the usual x86_64. Looking at the build it seems to just package up the binary - no 32 bit specific paths are used. In any case it works!

I know this is probably not a wise thing to do and I am not recommending this but just to let you know - it seems to work..so far anyway

Possibly someone will chime in with a reason why this will break but so far so good.

Hi, you can install netbeans by executing the bin file.

The best way to do it, imho.

Just create a directory off your /home and install Netbeans there. It how I do it and it works.
