I'm running c3270 and it only gives me a box in the upper left hand corner of the screen. I would like to set it up so it appears full screen, or close to it. If I change resolutions, will it affect the command line as well? There is a way to switch in c3270, but I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
Been a while but I believe you can change the number of columns and rows by selecting the model number to emulate... Default is 80x20, is that right? What are you trying to connect to anyway? If this is for an IBM system and you have the software fulfillment package I believe there is a X11 based terminal program available on the resource CD.
I know it's quite old question, but I was just struggling with it and figured out how to do it. So if there is anybody who find this question, I hope this would help them.
I run the terminal with this parameters to make it bigger (size is defined as rowsxcols):
c3270 -set showTiming -model 3279-4-E -oversize 158x100 host port
For oversize to work, you need to specify model 4. I had model 5 (3279-5-E) but it just didn't work with it, keeping always 132x27 size.
