Question need help on printer hp deskjet 930c


Does anyone know where can I find a tutorial that teachs me how to make my printer work??
It`s plugged by the usb port...
Or if anyone knows how to make it work... i`d be glad!

Click this link to Simply Linux and then scroll to the bottom. You will see how to setup your printer in Slack 8.1.

I set up my HP DeskJet 932C using apsfilter. I went to www.linuxprinting.org and went to the "list of printers" and clicked on my printer's name. I looked at all the comments regarding the available drivers for it. I ended up using the "stp" driver as it was the only one that my box would allow me to use for some reason (even though I had all the hp drivers supposedly loaded along with a brand new ghostscript package). If you run into any trouble, let me know.

No, it is not USB, but when doing the Apsfilter config, it tells you to choose the connection type as well. I selected plain ol' parallel, but there's selections for USB as well. If you give it a try, the worst that can happen is that it doesn't work and you have to try something else. It's worth a shot anyway.
