Need Driver for ATI Radeon 9000

I've used Slackware since forever (almost) and am trying to bring up X (KDE)on an older laptop (DELL Inspiron 5150) using Slackware 14.0. Any suggestions on the best driver and where it can be obtained?

In your case, sadly, the best and the only ATI driver available is the native xf86-video-ati.
