ndiswrapper

I'm trying to get a Mercury KOB WL455 USB wireless card to work under Slackware 10. Its made by Kobian.

I've installed the latest version of ndiswrapper and followed the install instructions to the letter. Everything was fine, the .inf file loaded and using the -l switch ndiswrapper confirmed the software and hardware were present.

However when I issued (as root) 'modprobe ndiswrapper' the system either hangs or gives the following error message-

kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
ln interrupt handler - not syncing

The only way to get thesystem up an running again is to perform a hard reboot, which is not doing my filesystem much good!

Any ideas?

Sorry, should have mentioned, my kernel is 2.4.26 which installed as default with slack 10.

Cheers

Thanks for that finux-k

I've looked and also searched the mailing lists. Others seem to have had the same problem but I cannot find any explanation as to what the error message means. It could of course be that the windows drivers just will not work under ndiswrapper.

Still trying!

See if you can find another version of the windows drivers for your card. I had this problem with a linksys, and when I dug up a different version of the driver, all was well.
