Nautilus smb: not working...
Hey all:
I'm running slackware-current, and can't seem to get smb browsing working in Nautilus. I think I remember that this used to work...I thought I just typed smb: and it listed all the computers in the workgroup near me. Should this even be working? I can get it to work (sort of) from Konqueror, but it keeps prompting me for passwords...annoying. -Charlie |
aaarrrrggggghhhhh
Hey:
OK - I have a computer at work and a computer at home. I just installed Slackware-current on both, from an .iso I burned two days ago, from the slackware-current tree. At home, smb: in Nautilus doesn't work. At work, it does. Arrrrrrrghh! -Charlie |
CUPS!
Hey all:
I figured this one out, with the help of the guys at Dropline. To get 'smb:///' working in nautilus, you need to have cups installed. Apparently this is a dependecy problem with the current build that they were also having. Anyone know who I should forward bug reports to at Slackware? -Charlie |
