MySQL Installation Fails
 
Hello everyone,

I'm working on my Slack10 system trying to install MySQL 4.1. When doing a test compile i run into the following error:

checking for termcap functions library... configure: error: No curses/termcap library found

I Google'd and found a lot of Redhat users having this problem, and the solution being to download the ncurse-dev package (which i cannot find).

Can anyone offer any advice here?

well not that much to comment really.. you need to install ncurses... i believe that slack packages include all headers? if so just install ncurses itself

I can't find it - that's my problem . . .
