mymedia server, my photos is slow since upgrade to 14.2

I've had MyMedia server running probably at least since 14.1 was first released.

What you do is thru roku bring up mymedia server, then videos, pictures or music. I can scroll thru video and music folders but since I upgraded to 14.2 it takes a while to scroll thru picture folders. The software is not built, just download it, configure folder locations, add channel to roku.

I don't understand what could cause scrolling thru picture folders to be any different than video or music folders.

Anyone else use mymedia server and how does it work for you with 14.2?

Thanks

Hi,
off the top of my head (don't know mymedia-server): if the 14.2 version is trying to read EXIF-data from the pictures that might take longer than before. Or if 14.2 is creating thumbnails.
What you can do is:
open a terminal/login shell and run "top" in that. Then scroll through pictures. Then you should see what program is consuming cpu cycles the most. Right at the beginning is the PID of that process.
Then, run this command:
strace -f -p <PID>
where instead of <PID> you write the pid number.
Scroll through pictures and you might be lucky enough to see what is causing the delay.
Ctrl-c stops the strace.
And, you might have to install the "strace" program beforehand ;-)
