You don't have to download the whole thing. If you can live without tottents wget will download only what you need (no source, no kdei, etc,) and the directions to create your own iso are simple enough and in a text file in the isolinux directory. By excluding directories downloaded the following command will download what amounts to a 1.6 gb iso. Probably downloaded in about as much time as your complete iso.
