Multiple desktops

Is there a way to configure xfree86 so that when I move my mouse to the left/right/top/bottom I get a new virtual desktop - like hitting ctl-fXX? Kind of like the xinerama idea except with only one monitor.

Cheers,
Jeff

Yes, but not with xfree86, rather it's the job of the display manager like KDE.

To switch between the virtual desktops by moving the mouse, you have to activate it in the KDE ControlCenter - Desktop - Window Behavior - Advanced - Active Desktop Borders=enabled

Other DM should be similar.
