Multi-vterminal dual-monitor setup

Hi all,

I've got a slackbox running slackware-current very nicely, and just acquired a second monitor to use with it. I've got the dual monitor setup going fine within KDE 4, however I'm now interested in making it set up so that virtual terminal 7 (the X session) runs on the primary monitor and virtual terminal 6 (The only free virtual terminal) runs on the secondary, with the ability to switch between them on-the-fly without one interrupting the other's view. Possible? Plausible? Or just plain impossible and I'm stuck running konsole in the secondary monitor?

It appears that you are running your dual monitors with a single X session across an extended display.
It is also possible to run a separate X session on each display. This will require changes to xorg.conf.

I can start with KDE running on my primary display, and then launch a WindowMaker session on my secondary display by Alt-F2 then 'wmaker -display :0.1'. The displays are separate, so changing the workspace in one does not affect the other. A minor inconvenience is the need to click on the title bar to change focus when I move from an app in one display to an app in the other.
