mtr crashes when IPv6 is disabled

Hi,

I'd like to use MTR, but it crashes when IPv6 is disabled, even when working on IPv4 only. I'm using ipv6.disable=1 in my kernel boot parameters.

This is also a problem in other distributions. Here for example:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/mtr/+bug/1149097

Or here:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1021255

Is there a way to fix this?

Cheers,

Niki

This has been fixed upstream.

I've prepared a revised fix based on upstream's solution so the display (while in curses mode) doesn't get mangled by ipv6-related error
messages when run on ipv4-only Slackware systems.

I'm also forwarding this thread to Pat so he's made aware of the issue.
