Msb: Mate 1.17 Slackbuilds

Slack64 Current: Testing http://slackware.uk/msb/current/1.17/x86_64/*

The mate-icon-theme-1.16.0 (!) package creates/updates the usr/share/icons/{mate,menta} icon themes, yet its install/doinst.sh creates/updates the icon-theme.cache for hicolor.

For as far as I am aware the mate packages create entries in hicore icons theme, so do not require the {mate, menta} icon themes. Menta inherits from mate, but mate does not inherit from hicolor, yet the hicore additions come through in {mate, menta} ???

Edit Dec 22, 2016: To answer my 2nd question: As per https://standards.freedesktop.org/ic...ec-latest.html scanning the hicolor icon theme is implicit -- if necessary that is.

Source? I only see binary packages, no build scripts or source code used to make those packages.

it's not yet pushed to public repository since i'm waiting for upstream devs to publish all MATE 1.17 tarballs.

Thanks, i have removed the relevant codes in doinst.sh here. Future mate-icon-theme 1.17 or 1.18 will not create icon-theme.cache for hicolor
