MPlayer Woes

So I installed MPlayer from source, I followed all the direction for setting up the codecs directory and enabling the gui. However I'm getting 2 errors when I try to play a movie.

1. VobSub: Bad Magic in IFO Header
2. FATAL: could not inititalize video filters (-vop) or video output (-vo)

can someone help me out here??

Try changing your vido output.

To get a list of vido outputs: mplayer -vo help

Maybe try:
gmplayer -vo xv <movie>
mplayer -vo xv <movie>

Sorry if this isn't much help =\

I got it now though I was neglecting to add some needed options when I typed in the command, won't make that mistake again

actually the command to run is;

gmplayer dvd://1

that is of course if you're using a newer version, in the older version you would run;

gmplayer -dvd 1

since I found that I'm running DVD's no problem
