MPlayer sigills
Hi, there's one more problem.
I had an old harddrive with slack9.0 installed and always had compiled MPlayer from source and it had worked fine. Then I bought a new harddrive and installed again slack9.0. And now when I compile MPlayer from source all I get is SIGILL. I downloaded mplayer package from linuxpackages which is compiled with cpu-runtime-detection and it works. So I tried to compile "my" mplayer with cpu-runtime-detection enabled and that did work.
And this I don't understand. What could possibly a new harddrive have done to my computer that all of a sudden I have to enable cpu runtime detection for mplayer to work?
