I have been using mplayerplugin 3.45 package for firefox from linuxpackages a while and it works great until yesterday. It can't play online streaming radio file. After it is connected,it turned to "stopped".
I tried to play the file via command line and it complains that it lacks of avis*.dll.

Playing cr1_local.asx.
Win32 LoadLibrary failed to load: avisynth.dll, /usr/local/lib/codecs/avisynth.dll, /usr/lib/win32/avisynth.dll, /usr/local/lib/win32/avisynth.dll
However,I have done some research through google and discovered that the mplayer codecs didn't include this file anymore. It seems strange to me because I have been using it quite a while without that dll file but suddenly it wouldn't work anymore.Do you guys have any clue?Hints needed.
I've found that the xine-mozilla plugin works much better for streaming media. Not sure why. I don't know how to make the mplayer-plugin work for streaming media.
Which online radio station are you trying to access. Some stations like KFI have been going to windows only players that display graphic commercials along with the sound. There could have been a change with the feed.
Thanks for the input from you guys, jschiwal & H_TeXMeX_H.
Firstly,H_TeXMeX_H,I have un-installed all other plugins except mplayer because I think it is reliable. However,it isn't.Do you watch video from nba.com?Oh,that's horrible!I also can't figure why it can't play streaming audio file.I kinda relinquish.

Nba.com plays here with Xine and the Xine plugin. Once you get to click the start button...
It is necessary that you allow pop-ups for nba.com though!
Mplayer itself is great. Mplayer-plugin for FF is not so great ... in fact it's quite crappy.
Same experience here. Untill a year ago or so the MPlayer plugin worked fine, since then nothing but trouble, so I don't use it anymore.
If you insist on using FF for embedded media, use MediaPlayerConnectivity, that works fine.
Or else Konqueror and KMPlayer, works even better.
