mplayer in Slackware
 
Why doesn't Slackware include mplayer? I tried the package from linuxpackages and now I want to compile it. During the configuring it says libpng is missing and refuses to enable GUI. I read the log file and the error was with missing header for libpng (png.h). How can I install the header files for this? I want to compile mplayer.
