I've read alot of posts elsewhere that suggest that alot of people are having problems with the dvdcss lib and xine. Some recompile ensuring that the css lib is referenced but still to no avail.
I've seen other posting relating to firmware upgrades and discussions about inbuilt region code settings on post 2000 cd players.
I'll stick with MPlayer I think, it's a bit funky to set up but seems to be able to play just about anything (once you tweek with the settings). The console messages in the background are really useful too, as you can see what the GUI is getting up to.
Anyhow, off on hols tomorrow, so I can take my linux laptop now and the kids can bring their dvds.
