Mozilla Firefox font size

I recently upgraded from kde 3.2 to kde 3.2.1. I am running Mozilla Firefox and everything was great until I made the upgrade. Now the font's in the browser look really bad. It is so small and I have to increase the size for every page. I tried to change it using 'Tools -> options' but it didn't work. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

I noticed the opposite of what you did. After I did the upgrade (with swaret), the fonts look bigger. I am using the gtk2+xft version of firefox. I would prefer the fonts smaller. maybe I will try the gtk version and see how that goes, since you said those fonts were smaller.

Generally with gtk2 fonts are smoother and bigger, I would even dare to say, unrealistic, since when you look the same page in other browsers they look more like the other version gtk1.

It depends on what you prefer, I would like to have smooth fonts, but more important for me is that the fonts are the same size like the ones in other browsers. Especialy if you are developing web pages, than the few extra pixels you get with gtk2 version can realy mess up your concept.

i have no idea of what is happening... the font size has gone to the will and wish of firefox. on some pages the fonts are extremely small and on some they are very bit. so i am going thru the pain of adjusting the font size for every page that i visit. pleeeeeez somebody help me out. i even played around with the 'fonts and colors' option from the tools menu. but nothing works.

Thanks

I am using the version from LInuxpackages

http://www.linuxpackages.net/pkg_details.php?id=1901

This package has GTK2 support and XFT support. I have not had any problems.
Maybe worth a try?

If you need to have all your fonts on the page show up bigger (like me), you can download, install, and configure the Text Zoom extension. It blows up all of the text on a web page to whatever percentage you set it too (i.e. 135%).

To install: Start Firefox and goto /Tools/Options/Extenstions/ and click on Get New Extenstions. Search for the Text Zoom extension and download/install it.
Be sure to install it into your profile directory for each user (if it gives you a choice, can't remember if it does or not) :D

Go to Tools | General | Fonts and Colors and set the Minimum Font size to a larger size.
