Moving swap and sharing folders in distros

Hello LQ ppl :)

I recompiled my kernel so that my scsi drive could work, luckly all went well with this stage :)

But i have some questions about it now :

The scsi drive i have is a small 4.5GB that i would like to use as swap. Now when i installed my slack the scsi wasn't recognized so i had to install the swap on another drive.

So my first question is can i move the swap partition to this scsi drive ?

Now my goal is to have more then one ditros, since obviously 4.5GB is too much for swap (and i have two other hdd ) i was asking myself if there are some folders that can be shared between distos ?

Thx in advance

Have a nice day :)

well, to move swap you basically change the mount point in your /etc/fstab file. and you'll need to make a new swap partition, of cource ;)

good luck
