Movie player of your choice

Which movie player do Slackware users prefer?

JokerBoy 11-11-2009 02:13 PM

for now, Xine. :) but, when i used the -stable version, vlc.

PS: xine is not in the poll.

tux_dude 11-11-2009 02:19 PM

Can't vote. Xine not on the list.

sahko 11-11-2009 02:23 PM

My initial intention was not to include VLC either. But i dont think i can edit the poll.

VLC all the way for me (Alien Bobs package)....it just works..nice player.

disturbed1 11-11-2009 03:05 PM

Xine, but I voted Kaffeine.

vinegaroon 11-11-2009 03:11 PM

MPlayer. Command line interface.

windtalker10 11-11-2009 03:56 PM

Xine here also but I voted VLC since I have it installed and it works.

I mostly use, and voted for, VLC. But I tried Dragon Player the other night and that seems OK too.

SMPlayer:

I like the GUI presentation. It provides GUI access to the most important mPlayer playback optons. By default it remembers the position I left a movie when last played. The screen controls are intuitive and large enough to use with a keyboard or IR remote.

Slax-Dude 11-11-2009 05:33 PM

Xine

slackass 11-11-2009 05:34 PM

SMPlayer.

~sHyLoCk~ 11-11-2009 07:39 PM

Smplayer , customizations made easy.

gargamel 11-11-2009 07:49 PM

Kaffeine, because it does everything that Xine does plus DVB. Also, I like the UI.
