Mouse clicks stop working after a while - Slackware Current
hi slackers,
i have on one of my notebooks Slackware 13.0 rc2, i have this problem where after using X for a while, the mouse is no longer able to click but the mouse movement and keyboard input sill works. on my desktop everything seems to be ok until yet, with Slackware 13.0 rc2! so is there anyone else who has the same problem with kde 4.2.x or Slackware current? or any idea what is the cuz? plz dont answer me with these two: - any suggestion to lead me to use a stable version!! ( i use Slackware the stable version 12.2 on my personal notebook NOW, so i try to find a solution for THIS issue! i hate to read instead of an answer, all around in the forum this f***ing statement! ) - to install kde again! this is not a solution! i did nothing before with xorg.conf, but i checked everything there more times! regard, inman! |
You might want to uncomment the # options psmouse proto=imps line in /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.conf
This was the default behaviour until recently. edit: This as it turns out is the wrong way to solve this and was changed for a reason. The solution has been posted in another thread i dont remember the link of. |

Hi,
You should look at the text files that are provided. You would find some jewels. :) 'CHANGES_AND_HINTS.TXT' would be a start. |
i have the same problem exactly.
it appears on my desktop with kubuntu karmic installed. i've tried to install ubuntu karmic and several distributions with different desktops but no one worked properly. at the same time all that systems worked on my laptop without mistakes. hope someone knows the decision :) |
