Mounting USB


I'm sorry if this questions sounds silly because I a newbie for a slackware.....I usually use Suse (easy to use) and now I want try to use Slackware.....but I have some problem :

1. How to automount a flashdisk or USB storage device?
2. I have a dial up internet connection that usually located on /dev/ttyUSB0........but on slackware I cant find it..... (dev/ttyUSB0 or dev/usb/ttyUSB0)

by the way I'm now try to use slackware 10.1 (kernel 2.4.29 = default kernel)

usb only

will tht hotplug enabled %while u r booting does ur kernel shows hotplug start...and wait 4 some time

if so connect the usb u can c tht the LED's are flashing and then run command dmesg
u can c the usb thing most probably teh device will b /dev/sda1

then mount it 2 any folder %better make a folder in /mnt like /mnt/usb
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/cdrom %just 4 fun, then it wil b mounted to cdrom
sometimes u should b root 4 mounting devices try sometimes tis will help b o luck
